Icing

I made a sponge cake and I dont know what sort of icing to put on it.:confused I dont want butter icing, i dont feel like that, slightly too sweet. When I try to make icing with icing sugar and water, it never hardens properly and tastes too liquidy against the solidity of the cake. I'm looking for a recipe for icing that solidifies well or something I can put on the cake alternative to icing. Thanks :D

you could've done orangey yellow icing or white
jus to make it a better taste use egg whites instead of water :D

what about cream cheese?
tastes nice on carrot cake.

or chocolate frosting...wont last long..well it doesnt even make it on the cake in our house

or making coffee/orange/lemon water icing as it wont seem so sweet but make it really thick so it sets better.
