Karen Bennett is a keen photographer and is Chairman of Midhurst Camera
Club in West Sussex, she recently contacted Thurso Camera Club Chairman,
Colin Gregory, (looking for information, what hills to avoid, Berriedale
comes to mind) best photospots to look out for etc.
She set off at the start of September on a Solo and unassisted Cycling
Photographic Adventure which takes her from Lands End to John O'Groats
in approximately 20 Days all in the name of Charity.
Well actually two Charities, all monies raised will be split 50-50 between
Macmillan Cancer Support and Marie Curie Cancer Care.
When Caithness FM caught up with Karen last Week (17th Sept.) on the eve of her
crossing over the border into Scotland. Karen reported little problems so
far and was looking forward to the Scottish section of her travels.

Update:
Wednesday 23rd September (Message from her Office Support John Harrison):
"Karen has made Granton on Spey yesterday evening (Tuesday) and is
scheduled to arrive in Inverness for this evenings stop.
Yesterday she experienced extreme wind conditions & found difficulty in
even walking with her cycle.
As she moves to lower ground the worst is hopefully behind" .

Karen has done very well and should arrive Today (Saturday 26th September) after setting out on the last stage this morning from Bettyhill.
If you happen to see Karen on her travels today (on her Blue Bike) give her a Big
