Hi LRM,
I went over on the JOG ferry for it this morning. There were maybe 70 birders from as far afield as Hampshire. The crane was quickly located a mile or so east of Burwick, just to the south of Thurrigair. I managed to get a couple of digiscope record shots before it flew off to the North.

Hi Dafi
I came over today and saw it, although we were quite a bit away and looking into the strong sun. Your photo shows the bird far better than I could see it though the scope. I met some super guys who had come from all over England to see it and had a super morning. The majority of them would have also gone for the Yellow Billed Cuckoo too if it had stuck around. There are also rumours on BF the BBA was a Gannet!! Thanks to all at Orkbird for the info it has been great week for you guys over there.
