Pointer Arrow

this is starting to bug me and don't know how to make it stop but my pointer arrow has a little blue circle beside it - the type of one that shows you that the puter is busy thinking about something but its been going continuously for the last 24 hours and I have rebooted several times

anyone suggest what it is and better still how do i stop it?

no one any advice??? begining to think its a virus running but have done a full scan with mcaphee but nothing found

Try scanning your PC with the free version of Malwarebytes: http://www.malwarebytes.org/ (http://www.malwarebytes.org/)

If that doesn't find anything, hold down the [Ctrl] and [Alt] keys, and press the [Del] key. From the window that appears, click on Task Manager, then on Applications. That will show you what applications are currently active.

There is a horrible little malware / spyware application that customizes your cursor. cant remember the name of it again?

i've run full antivirus and also spyware search with stopzilla, will try the link also, thanks

having huge problems with my router keeping dropping out and I have to keep on going into the admin settings are reapplying my username and password after I reboot it - hubby thinks router on way out - could he be right??

Do you know if any other settings are being reset? What is the Make/Model of the router?

Stopzilla isn't too good from my past experiences.

I would seriously suggest AVG or Malwarebytes.

its a D-Link G604T don't think any other settings have reset, I have a bit of paper with all the settings and they seem to be the same

You might have done this, so appoligies is you have done it already...

After setting the username/password, save the configuration. You can do this by clicking on the "Misc" menu within the router admin interface, from there click on "Save and Reboot". After a couple of minuites go back into the interface and check to see if the settings have been saved.
