Hi, we currently have pebbles at the front of our home but are keen to remove them and replace with grass. Can anyone advise if we are best to have it turfed (if so can you tell me where we would obtain turf) or to plant grass seed and if so when would be the best time of year to do this.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated as we have no clue where to start.

Many Thanks.

Grass seed is much cheaper and judging by the amount of grass seedlings growing in my garden, blown in from the fields, I would say sow it now, you will need to be a bit patient waiting for it to grow.

you can get turf from Homebase but it's quite expensive, the thing to remember which ever you do is to prepare it properly as you will reap what you sow as they say. good luck with which ever you choose

If you go with seed TW, you may be interested to know that Lidl will have 2Kg packs on sale for £6.99 as from next Thursday.;)
