Does anyone know where I can get my washing machine repaired or failing that buy a second hand one. Searched the business index and couldnt find any so would be grateful for any help as pile of clothes building up!

The only place I know of is Dane Sutherland, he sells second hand white goods. His address is The Cooker Shop River Street, Wick 604714

In my experience though he's quite hard to get hold of on the phone

There was a guy who used to advertise in Courier/Groat Dial-a-service section think the name was Caithness Appliances - he fixed our machine quickly and wasn't too expensive

may be worth checking the prices of new ones in the co-op they have some very reasonably priced machines - I bought a new one for about £170 and there were cheaper ones than that - they also delivered free of charge

Thanks for all your suggestions. I managed to get Alacam and someone coming tomorrow but if it cant be fixed then I have a few places to look for a replacement now.
I will NEVER again wash a feather quilt in a machine!!!!
