Good evening everyone

Does anyone know about a William Pring being a InnKeeper in Wick in 1851

He is of some importance in my family tree because in 1842 he had a child with Christina Morrison nee Munro in Armadale in Sutherland named William. Christina was a widow of about 34 and was the sister of my GGG Grandfather Donald Munro.

I have just discovered that William was married to Janet (MacKay?) born c1803 in Dunnet, Caithness.

Both William and Janet appear in the 1841 and 1851 census as living in Wick. In 1841 William was a seaman.

I believe that William drowned in 1855.

Here is the entry for 1851 from FreeCen
