My Heart is In Caithness

I was stationed at the Thursa US Navy base from 1975-late 77. Even though it has been many, many years since then, my heart will always be in Caithness. I have visited a couple of times since I left the military service to visit old friends and to try to recapture some of those memories I left behind, the tug of Caithness has always returned. Living there was a much simplier way of life and it is something I'll cherish until my dying days. I am a much better person for that rich experience.

Thank you residents of Caithness for being who you are and for having an impact on one person's life.

I can add to your comment by saying that 30 years on I found the people of Caithness to be just as warm and delightful as you have described them. That magical spirit is still there. And it comes alive in the threads of the forum.
