I've read today in the John O'Groat Journal that they may be drilling for oil on land at Newton Swiney just South of Lybster.
Drilling on land i dont see to be a problem but the seismic survey could cause problems for the migrating whales and Dolphins if this work takes place in the summer months.
Any one had any experience of the effects of seismic survey work?

The survey won't take very long though will it? Surely the frequencies used will not be similar to these large mammals are they? Sorry, am a bit ignorant of these things.
