Bighouse estate

I'm looking for information on the introduction of sheep to the Bighouse estate, presumably around the time the estate was sold to the Marquis of Stafford, c1830? I know the Bighouse Estate Papers are in the NAS, but haven't yet had a chance to look at them - I'm not sure if they'd contain much in the way of information about people living on the estate at that time? Just wondered if there was any local information, unpublished stories etc.
