How many of you are still having trouble getting onto the Org?
I get the default sign most of the time.

I seem to find that when I switch on my work PC, go to the ORG, then the forum, I get a quick response with the Plesk page only.

Shut down browser, go to command prompt (in Run as Administrator mode in Vista), and:

C:\Windows\system32>ipconfig /flushdns
Windows IP Configuration
Successfully flushed the DNS Resolver Cache.

C:\Windows\system32>nslookup forum.caithness.org
Server: dns1.st-and.ac.uk
Address: 138.251.66.46

Non-authoritative answer:
Name: forum.caithness.org
Address: 81.29.75.113

Forum still does not work
Close browser and try again.

C:\Windows\system32>ipconfig /flushdns
Windows IP Configuration
Successfully flushed the DNS Resolver Cache.

C:\Windows\system32>nslookup forum.caithness.org
Server: dns1.st-and.ac.uk
Address: 138.251.66.46

Non-authoritative answer:
DNS request timed out.
timeout was 2 seconds.
Name: forum.caithness.org
Address: 87.106.70.12

Now it works, and I notice that initial connections to the forum shows a "Looking up forum.caithness.org" for a couple of seconds before a successful connection is made.

So, is the problem that the forum does have a new IP address and the DNS system has not settled down, or is it a local PC issue?
I am tending to see the same problem on multiple computers running both XP and Vista and from work and home (so different ISPs).

I did try connecting to http://87.106.70.12/ but just get an error message.
Presumably the server is running in VirtualHost mode and requires the "forum.caithness.org" to tell it which website to serve up.

I can only get onto the org by going to the members photographs section first :confused If I click on the forum link I get the plesk page.
