Does anyone know the names of the mountain and/or hill ranges around here?
I know there's Morven Hills but I need to know the other names.
Thanks
I know 2 others. Maiden Pap, it's the one with the nipple on top and Scaraben it's one of the pair to the left of Morven.
On my way back from Kirkwall to the ferry at Burwick on Saturday I saw Morven from a dip in the road. From the south it can be seen from Moray.
Caithnesses very own Everest.
Have a look on an OS map?:confused

Scaraben has three bumps on it, if I remember correctly.
O.S. Sheet 17 Helmsdale is the one. Despite not being of Munro status (3000 feet) they are great hills to walk over with views to the Cairngorms and Benachie in Aberdeenshire and as far as Ben More Assynt in the west. It is possible to cover all 7 of the skyline peaks in a oner from Braemore which I managed this May on a perfect day.
