transfer photo's from Elements 7

Hi wondering if anyone could advise?
i am getting rid of our old desk top computer and need to copy transfer all my photo's which are stored on Elements 7. is it a simple of case of backing up the files onto a external hard drive or is there more that needs to be done?
any advice would be much appreciated.

Should be just a matter of copying them over from the folder where you saved them. If in Photoshop format you could do a search for *.psd to make sure you have them all or *.jpg if you converted them.
