wondering if anyone could help me
i am thinking of taking the children horse riding - one off unless they really like it!!

Are there riding schools in Caithness that offer 1/2-1hr sessions as a one off?

Try them, they are in Halkirk. They do 1/2 hour lessons. I am sure they will do one offs. I was told they don't do block bookings, so that must mean you don't have to commit to any more than one lesson.

I was quoted 12 GBP for 1/2 hour and 18 GBP for full hour.

Achalone is a brilliant riding school. I attended there from when i was 6-18 years old. Im sure they will try and accommodate to your requirements.

The instructor is excellent too.

Highly recommended by me! :cool:

Horsin Around at Lyth - 1/2 hour or 1 hour lessons, for all ages, and very good setup with great standard of training.

I can totally recommend Natalie at Horsin Around in Lyth. My daughter goes for horse riding lessons every weekend and she loves it.

The horses are all sound and safe and Natalie is fantastic with the kids.

It is £8.50 for 1/2 hour and £17 for an hour.

absolutely spot on tuition from marion and great care for the kiddies and ponies - highly recommend!!

Yip can't recommend Natalie highly enough, my daughter goes every weekend and just loves it. Can recommend her for adults too, my own horse had an horrendous injury so started going for lessons to keep me going til he came back into work and I have really enjoyed it. She is very good with the kids and her horses are lovely.
