Does anybody know where I can get my mobile phone unblocked?

Is there anywhere in Thurso/Wick, or Inverness?

There are companies that do this on-line. Just Google 'unlock my mobile phone'. There are hundreds to choose from.

It depends on what make and model it is. Sometimes you can do it yourself. There are a number of online site which can help. Try this link;

There is also an online petition to stop companies locking phones to their network;

I hope that these help

There are ways of doing this through the Intenet (I got mine off ebay!). If you put in the model of your phone and unlock clip you just clip it into your phone and it unlocks.

Hope this helps :)

I did an internet search and found details for a company. I paid £5 and was given a list that basically told me to keep looking or phone the network provider. Useless.

I phoned Vodafone, got the code, inserted a SIM from another network and tapped the code into the phone. It cost me nothing and took five minutes. Definetly try phoning the network provider before paying out money to anyone, whether it is on the internet or in a shop.

I got my phoned unblocked - paid 99p on ebay for instuctions and they do work. So if you have the above phone, heres how to unblock it.

---------------------------------------------------------

Please see the following method used to unlock the Samsung D900i. The
procedure is very straight-forward, but you must be accurate with the
inputting of the characters, especially concerning the '*' and '#' as
shown.

PLEASE BACK UP YOUR FILES BEFORE UNLOCKING. Save any photos, mp3 files, contact details on your PC before unlocking the phone, just in case any data is lost!

1. With the current SIM from the network that the phone is locked to,
first do a custom reset by inputting the following: *2767*2878#. The
screen should read 'E2P Custom Reset'. The screen will then return to
normal. Turn off the phone

2. Take out the battery and SIM and put in the new SIM from the network
that you wish to use: IMPORTANT - ONLY INSERT THE SIM HALF-WAY IN.
This is a very important step, so the phone won't ask for network
password and just shows "Insert SIM" message (possibly in a different
language).
Now put the battery in carefully (you should be able to get the battery
in behind the half-inserted SIM), and switch the phone on (phone shows
"Insert SIM" message.) I find it best to keep gentle pressure on the
phone battery when following these procedures, as it can fall out if you
are not careful.

3. Push the SIM fully in; at this stage the phone is still asking to
"Insert SIM"

4. Make a FULL reset: *2767*3855#

5. The phone should reboot working with "wrong" SIM inside. Let the
phone restart and wait until the screen returns to the normal condition.
The network shown on the screen should now be that of the new SIM fitted.

6. Make a Change the NCK password to 8 zeros by typing:
*7465625*638*00000000*00000000#.

7. Now Disable network lock By typing: #7465625*638*00000000# screen
reads 'network Lock Deactivated'

Your phone is now unlocked!

Please make sure you follow these instructions carefully.
