Not really a late winter no, it is just that the last decade or so has thrown up exceptionally mild winters which we have all adapted to and now take as the norm. This is more like winters used to be when i was a kid, i remember building snow men at easter reasonably more so than xmas time.

I remember the spring of 1987,was out sunbathing on the 25th of April,got sunburned,then had to lye in agony giving birth to my son.
The next few days it was snowing and my brothers made a snowman for their nephew;)

Forecast for heavy snow tomorrow for the north west of Scotland.Its been snowing on and off all day in Skye.Gardens now white.Not eneogh for a snowman yet:p
