Any idea why there have been helicopters flying over Thurso the last few days? Saw four flying over at the same time.:confused

I live to the east of the county and I saw them the otherday flying slightly West of Wick, did wonder what they were on.

there was fog in orkney for a couple of days and if they need fuel they quite often divert to wick[only a guess] tony

They are training pilots at Wick it is cheaper to do it at Wick than in Aberdeen where they are from.
Wick airport is not so busy

Are they little black helicopters that look as if they could be on route to deliver a box of Milk Tray to someone?

yep thats the ones I saw kevin - never dropped any milk tray my way though!
