Ahhh, paintballing - great fun and such a stress reliever. I played a few games just after it came to the UK and my how the 'technology' has progressed since - the weaponary is quite impressive now.

That shot wouldn't count, shots to the face or head don't count.

Paintball is awesome. How about we wait until the place has been setup and then we can organise it proper.

When I played it, it was usually split into teams on the day and then you play group games.

I played long before the state of the art weaponary available now - the gas cylinders were not much bigger than a Bic lighter and lasted maybe 30 shots and the paintballs were in tubes of 10 or 12. They certainly have increased hopper sizes since then.

I recall one time someone insisted in playing in jeans and a T-shirt - at the end of the day he looked like he had been wrestling with an octopus! People soon learnt that wearing thickish clothing was a definate advantage!!!

That just depends on were you get hit . but the pellets are pretty soft .

MadPict

is paintball painfull?

I will not lie - it can be.
Just Google "paintball welts" for some idea. They sting like hell if they catch you in 'unprotected' areas, but just wearing sensible clothes like old army combat jackets and trousers is usually padding enough. You will have to wear face masks and goggles - the norm for most sites is to loan out one piece coveralls if you don't have your own clothing.

But don't let the prospect of a little pain put you off - it really is great fun, and if you make a day of it with a BBQ and a few beers after, the odd welt or two becomes part of the memory.

ice - they may be "soft" but travelling at 250fps they suddenly become very hard ;)
