No Paul, I didn't actually see them myself. But I did see Keith Parkes spectacular photos on this web site! I will be sending the link to all my friends outwith Caithness. We are so lucky with all the beauty there is to behold in our county.

I can normally see them from my back garden... not as good as ya would in the country. But I couldn't see them. Maybe I looked too early or too late. I dunno. But the pictures - they're spectacular! :)

Some of the images were taken by John Baikie of www.jgbphototgraphy.co.uk but I can't get his webpage to open. Does anyone have an email address I can contact him at?

The spelling mistake is on the caithness. org site. I just clicked the link and cut and pasted it without checking. Hopefully the webmaster will change it. Thanks for spotting it!

Whew breathtaking many thanks for the links and my apologies for the late response..was so awed by the various pictures that I forgot my manners..please excuse. Oh well just maybe they will show up for me on one of my trips north,I hope so but no luck over the last couple of years :(
