Sedan Chair Race 1st August 2009

The TTIA are thinking of having a Sedan Chair race & best-dressed Sedan competition for teams of 5 people. One team member must sit on the Sedan,whilst the othr four team members carry them.

The sedan can be a basic stretcher; it can be made of four posts of wood, with either wood or material as the seat. You can dress it up as much as you want.

We need you thoughts to help us make a decision within the next couple of weeks if we will run this event. Please mail info@thurso.org

It's a plan for a sedan chair, that I think TTIA are talking about, but you can easily see that this one is designed for 6 people to carry, but the plans can easily be adapted.

What if say £20 was offered towards the materials to make it
Would that encourage anyone?
It could take part in the procession same as a float
