OK so what is the going rate for teeth these days?

The wee man has just lost hs first tooth, put it in the tooth pouch and hung it on the outside of his bedroom door. He says the fairies come to collect them to give to the queen, when asked he wasn't sure just what the queen was gonna do with them.

hmm 50p or maybe a £1 if you are feeling more generous. At his age what use will he have for more?

£1 I guess, if mine was saving for something special I used to give more, and the fairies use teeth to make magic fairy dust :D it is very precious and that is why the fairy gives you money for your tooth.

We're in a recession now, 10p per tooth is enough.

we gave £2 for a first tooth, as thats just a special one.. then a pound a tooth.. if its a lovley tooth.. the condition of the tooth is very important! its like a car.. they depriciate with neglect! obviously the tooth fairy is going to pay less for a tooth with a cavity than a lovley bright white one!

Well given the fact that a trip to the dentis costs you an arm leg and a kidney these days with inflation and all that shouldnt a tooth be about £50 a go now ?

i got told the going rate is £2, he has lost 2 and another 2 is wobbly. but only if they are good and not rotten. He looks after his teeth so it is going to cost me a fortune :)

We would get shiny new money...(20p rising to 50p with inflation at the time) probably cleaned with brasso or tomato sauce or coke by mum or dad!
Cos the toothfairy would make the money herself!
Think its about £2 now!
