Scientists have successfully created a new super-heavy chemical element

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/8093374.stm

They have permission to list it in the periodic table, but it still needs a name.

As its a super-heavy element, it needs a name to reflect that.

So I guess Burgerium, Macdonaldium, Obesium are possibilities. Americium is already taken! Anorexium probably isn't suitable.

I was wondering what suggestions orgers may have?

The best one I've heard is governmentium (http://www.dullmen.com/governmentium.htm), although that's supposed to be a lot heavier than element 112's mass of 277.

It's heavy. It's a metal. It's black and it's not for the weak minded.

It has to be named metalattakk!

Thanks Bekisman, I'd missed that.

I'm sure there's a joke about metallic underwear in there somewhere.......
