Both Laurel & Hardy and Harold Lloyd were great Comedians but that is not what the thread is about,

The Question was what was the greatest Comedy, this means Program rather than the Artists.

So In my Opinion there are several Great Comedy Shows and they include the Following :-

Are You Being Served

My Hero

Dads Army

Allo Allo

The Thin Blue Line

But the greatest Comedy Show just has to be :-

Dinner Ladies

I'm a Blackadder fan myself, although I also liked Only Fools and Horses and Father Ted.

Favourite comedy of all time would be a toss up between Father Ted and Blackadder.
I also loved Abbot and Costello from way back used to find that so funnt as a kid.(repeats not originals!!!)[lol]
Roughly off subject best line ever?.
Mine would have to be anything to do with a "Turnip" from Blackadder!!!!

I think my fave is Only Fools - classic comedy at it's best. Used to watch it a lot when I was younger!

I would say most certainly not Trix.

You see her from time to time on Eastenders as she plays Peggy Mitchells sister. She is the one that always seems to require a wee.

Has to be The Fast Show for me, I still watch it and laugh my pants off.

Jazz Club, Unlucky Alf, The 13th Duke of Wybourne, Jesses Diet's, Rowley Birkin QC, Ted and Ralph, Channel 9 and the rest were just pure class I reckon. I really miss comedy that original on TV these days.

My all time fav was "Yes Minister/Prime Minister".
Paul Eddington was brilliant, and how Nigel Hawthorne kept his face straight delivering the lines of his "Civil Servant speak" excuses I'll never know!
