There haven't been many sunspots lately to look at. Out of interest, how did you take this photo? The filters I've tried give the sun a bluish white tone, not the orange colour you've obtained.
I'm hoping for some clear skies and more interesting features like this for some public solar observing that will take place on the 13th June (see - http://www.caithness.org/nightsky/astronomy_fun_day.jpg)

a bit better colour than Baader film I think :)

Handheld compact digital to eyepiece, but through the scope it looks like a flat disk - I think it must be the near IR that causes the camera to display it like a sphere :)
