I have family coming up in August, one needs ground floor accommodation as will be on crutches following an op.

I know the Weigh Inn has chalets on the ground floor but does anyone know of any other accommodation in and around Thurso or Castletown that would fit the bill?

Will it matter about having ground floor accommodation if there is a lift.
I know that when i had crutches and i still have a stick that as long as there is a lift you are usually ok.

From what I've heard the chalets aren't that great at the weigh inn but they do have a lift to take to their proper rooms. I'm pretty sure it also takes you to the floor where breakfast is served to! http://img246.imageshack.us/img246/8399/thumbsup4kk.gif

I can thoroughly recommend the Pentland lodge house in Thurso, I have mobility problems and stayed there last year couldn't fault it in any way they have a huge shower wheelchair accessible in en-suit.
Tracey and the rest of the staff just couldn't do enough for us....Breakfast was great too in a nice bright area room on ground level too.....worth every penny.
