my OH turned 40 today,we were talking last night bout classic mid-life crisis things he's meant to do!
dye hair-has an increasing 'double crown' so doesn't want to risk making it worse with chemicals
medallion-doesnt wear jewellery
go clubing-knackered by 10pm,wants bath and slippers by 10.30pm
buy open top sports car-cant afford it and risk to 'double crown' in the wind
date sexy 21 year old-couldnt keep up and I'd kill him!!

Basically anything that requires too much effort or money is just too much at 'his age'!!!

Bless the poor old git!!

A Mid-life crisis is not at 40, at least not in my opinion. I think that you have a Mid-life Crisis at 60.

I say this due to the fact I passed 60 quite some time ago and I want to belive that 60 was my Mid-life point. :D

But life begins at forty!
Just buy him some cod liver oil and vitamin pills and slip them into the birthday cake.

I wid agree.
It's all in the mind, though it helps if the body is still willing.
I wish i knew that when i was 40. I probably did but widnav believed:lol: it.

My 30th bothered me more then my 40th, i think it was going out of your 20s. But i can honestly say my 50th last year was the worst so far. Maybe part of that was my illness but i felt really old.[lol]

I think the "mid-life crises" start when you realise that you're attending funerals quite regularly.
That's what did it for me anyway, way far too early!:(
