Anyone else subscribe to Tape Op magazine?

It's free and it's a textbook audio magazine. Anyone into recording should subscribe. It occasionally has pithy comments from steve albini which are always good for a larf.

Nice one. Just getting into recording with the help of a few others on here, so stuff like this is right up my street at the moment.

Good stuff. You can also try this lot: http://www.audiomedia.com/

If you speak to them nicely (just fill in the form) they even send you a copy in the post for free too.

Since we're all chiming in with good sources for audio tips etc, if you're a metal fan or like modern rock sounding recordings, check out the Andy Sneap forum over at the Ultimate Metal Forum, he contributes from time to time himself. If you've no idea who Sneap is, look him up, he's done some grand metal productions. Buddyrich should know of his work as should the_big_mac

Yup. Cheers for that link Jeid. He, along with Colin Richardson, Andy Wallace and Vinnie Wojno are the top flight of metal producers.

The More Things Change, Seasons in the Abyss and the Mordred EP are all classics.

All time winner is Demanufacture. Greatest modern metal album ever.

Sneap actually posts at that forum... Colin Richardson has contributed from time to time
