I see that, once again, some fire fighters are going out on unofficial strike over pay and conditions. This just a few days after The Royal Mail workers come back to work after their strike.
Isn't the timing of these strikes a little strange?
The Royal Mail workers go on strike just as small businesses that rely on postal services to survive are gearing up for Christmas, just in time for us all to realise that our precious Christmas cards may not be delivered, but also just in time to not affect their Christmas overtime.
The fire fighters are going on strike on what I would imagine is the busiest week for them – the week of November 5th.
Coincidence? Hardly. Aren't these just callous examples of those who can hold the nation to ransom doing so for no other reason than money?
