I took a day trip to Portsmouth yesterday to see the Spinnaker Tower, also went up to the top of it to take some pics which I'l post later. I think it's a beautiful building, what do you think? The floor of Viewing Gallery 1 has a partial glass floor which is 100 meters from ground level so I had to have a wee walk over it-video of it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sexDkvt-R9I

i personally think its horrible!! but then again having grown up in gosport, just a ferryride from portsmouth, i think the whole place is horrible and glad i got out of there and up to cathness!! having said that, im off down there for a family get together next week:eek:

(on the spinnika towers opening day, the lift jammed, trapping several workmen up at the top for a while!!)

I'm gonna go back next weekend and take Kriklah up the top and dangle her over the side until she gives in and says she likes it. [evil] [lol]

I was unlucky to miss a fella abseiling it, he just reached ground level as rounded the corner to see it.

This building nearby has apartments for sale-no idea how much for though. PS The green tint on pics is the tinted windows.

An example of the views they'll share with the Spinnaker. Looking out onto the Solent.

Looking into the Historic Dockyard. The warship in foreground is HMS Warrior, the one at top centre is Lord Nelson's flagship HMS Victory

That is quite a building, more Dubai looking than Portsmouth as Anne says. I wouldnt mind a nose in ti myself. The weather there is also looks very Dubai like.
