With the calm sea this week Caithness has scored with Cetacean sightings
Seabird has set up a new site for sightings and done a great job, so all up to date sightings can be found here.
Since Wednesday Caithness waters have recorded Minke Whale, Pilot Whale, Killer Whale, Rissos dolphin, White-beaked Dolphin, Common Dolphin and Harbour porpoise.

A fantstic week.

Kas had a telephone interview with BBC Scotlands "Out of Doors" programme which was broadcast this morning.
The programme will be repeated at 11.05 Sunday 7th.
Kas is asked about her Sea Watching activities and the 7 species that have been observed on the North coast of Caithness this year.
Kas gave a fantastic interview and it's well worth listening in on the programme on Sunday. Well done Kas!

You can down load to ipod or listen on line, Kas talks during the last 30min of the programme.

Saw hundreds of dolphin on Sunday come into Thurso bay and went back out - only lasted about 5 mins but it was quite spectacular.
