I've been reading about Jim Welsh's plans to start up a rail freight service from Georgemas Junction - this is excellent news. Should get rid of a lot of these juggernauts from the A9. Should create a number of jobs in the area too - I live in Halkirk, so I'm particularly pleased to hear that. ;)
I really hope this venture takes off. I think rail freight is definitely the way to go for shipping things around the country, then you just have delivery vans and small lorries to move the stuff from the freight yards to the supermarkets, shops, businesses, residences etc. :D
