Where can I take scrap metal?

Can anyone advise me of anywhere local that pays for scrap metal and what sort of price I should expect? Not sure if I should take it to the recycling plant at Wick or try and get some money for it in these hard times.

Unless u have a skip full of metal i wouldnt think u would get all that much is not about £80 for a ton of metal the value of metal goes up and down so quickly

If you have enough send it to China in a forty foot shipping container -
Unfortunately the backside has fallen out of the market of late so you might get
a bit short changed.

Also different metals bring differing prices. Check the London Metal Exchange for current rates.
