This is a new show being aired on Sky1 on 14th May at 10pm. I want to recommend this series as I think it's going to be a big hit over here.

I've been watching it since January-ish time as that's when it aired in America - I love the internet - and i've been watching it every week.

Lie To Me is created by Samuel Baum (The Evidence) and the executive producers of 24 and Arrested Development (http://primetime.unrealitytv.co.uk/sky-one-picks-up-lie-to-me/#). The series is a compelling new drama inspired by the scientific discoveries of Dr. Paul Ekman - a real-life specialist and professor of psychology at the University of California, San Francisco, Department of Psychiatry - who can read clues embedded in the human face, body and voice to expose both the truth and lies in criminal investigations.
Tim Roth (Reservoir Dogs (http://primetime.unrealitytv.co.uk/sky-one-picks-up-lie-to-me/#), The Incredible Hulk and Sky1’s upcoming drama Skellig) stars as Dr. Cal Lightman, the world’s leading deception expert, a scientist who studies facial expressions and involuntary body language to discover not only if you are lying but why. More accurate than any polygraph test, he is a human lie detector.
Lightman heads up a private agency contracted by the FBI, local police, law firms, corporations and private individuals when they’ve hit a roadblock on their searches for the truth. Kelli Williams (The Practice) stars as Dr. Gillian Foster, a gifted psychologist and Lightman’s professional partner. Foster brings balance to the partnership by looking at the bigger picture while Lightman focuses on the details. Brendan Hines (Terminator: The Sarah Connor (http://primetime.unrealitytv.co.uk/sky-one-picks-up-lie-to-me/#) Chronicles) and newcomer Monica Raymond (Law and Order SVU) also star as Lightman’s lead researcher Eli Loker and the newest recruit Ria Torres respectively. Loker is so uncomfortable with the human tendency to lie that he practices “radical honesty,” meaning he says everything on his mind at all times. Torres, on the other hand, is one of the few “naturals” in the field of deception detection. She has a raw, untrained ability to read people that makes her a force to be reckoned with.
Lie To Me probes the very heart of human nature and explores the idea that there’s nothing more revealing than when we choose to tell the truth and when we decide to lie.

Thanks Connor. I've booked it in my planner, but wasn't sure if it would be any good or not. I usually give new shows a chance, and have been pleasantly surprised by some of them, like Fringe, Burn Notice, Life and The Eleventh Hour. :)

We've been watching it since it started over here, and I can thoroughly recommend it. At various points the lead character, played by Tim Roth, will go into tutorial mode about whatever case they are working on, with video of the subject and their facial expressions. It is very amusing to see assorted politicians used as illustrations.
