Today's Groat

I see an apology was given to the Watten Bowling Club in the Groat. Does anyone know what happened that they needed an apology?

Per the notice in the Groat, they were wrongfully disqualified from the MacKenzie Trophy competition during the open day held on Feb.18th. A complaint had been made but was in error because of "a misinterpretation of the rules."

Please don't look to me for a war of words as I was only quoting what was in the Groat! I know absolutely nothing about Watten Bowling Club or any other bowling club for that matter.

Was not meaning to start a war of words. It seems to be a topic of some discussion at work that's all. :)

I believe that the Watten team changed their order of play and this was alledged to be against the rules (incorrectly) by a Wick team.
