New ways to beat Credit Crunch

1. Don't waste money on expensive ipods -
Just think of your favourite tune and hum it. If you want to "change tracks" then think of another song you like and hum that instead !

2. Save money on personalised car number plates -
Simply change your name to match your existing plate
eg. - Mr. KVL 741Y

3. Don't waste money buying expensive binoculars -
Just stand closer to the object you wish to view

4. Save electricity -
Turn off all the lights in your house and wear a miner's helmet

5. Got an old telephone directory ?
They make IDEAL personal address books - simply cross out the names of all the people that you don't know !

6. Don't turn up the heating
Just pop outside for ten minutes, without a coat - you'll feel the benefit when you come back in !

7. Why pay the EARTH for an expensive jigsaw ?
Take a bag of frozen chips out of the freezer and try piecing together the whole tattie.

8. Fancy some toffee - don't go out and BUY it !!
Mix together tea and coffee and leave in fridge to cool - HEY presto!! TOFFEE !!!!

9. Make your own inexpensive mints -
Leave blobs of toothpaste on the window sill to dry -
P/S Use striped toothpaste to make humbugs !

Some good ones there .. these are from an e-mail that circulated my work along the same lines.


Simply fill a shredded wheat with soap to make an inexpensive brillo pad.

Get an empty cigar tube and fill it with wasps for a cheap alternative to a rampant rabbit.

Don't buy ribbed condoms, simply use a normal one but fill it with frozen peas before use.

Don't buy expensive hair gel. Use marmalade, its cheaper, stickier and can also be used as a breakfast topping.

Make your carpets last longer by taking them off your floor and keeping them in the loft.

Chang your last name to Toblerone. When attending a job interview take along an empty Toblerone box. This will show your employer he will not have to make an expensive name tag for your desk and greatly increase your chances of getting the job.
