I have just noticed a hole in my 4 month old laminate flooring after a visitor with stilettos on  noooo.
Can anyone tell me if there is any way to fix this without lifting the whole floor and edging to replace 1 board?
From now on Heels are banned.

Take the stiletto that was to blame, insert heel into hole then trim off to make level, glue in place then paint/varnish to match laminate. Shimples. :D

Heh - have a similar problem - I stored the iron on the work surface to cool but caught the lead as I walked away. Result - iron takes an Olympic style reverse three-and-a-half somersaults with tuck pointy nose first into the floor. OH hasn't spotted it yet - can't blame it on any dogs anymore so may have to step up and confess......

My idea is quicker and cheaper, it will also make the offender think twice about wearing heels in the future.

Shame riggerboy isn't about, he would hang 'em hang 'em hang 'em. [lol]

Someone walked over my solid wood floors with stillettos (believe had worn down to just the point) - hall, dining room, entrance hall - I was so angry that someone could be so inconsiderate. If I had noticed at the time I would certainly have said something - this person is no longer welcome now.
Do not know what to do to repair the puncture marks all over the floors - any orgers any ideas on how to repair the damage?
Some folk say they do not see the marks but I know they are there - everytime I clean the floor.
Best wishes with repairing your laminate Unicorn.

I have found a company called unika colourfill pat, I have emailed them for a colour match. It looks good. Hope this helps you too. I am also going to be asking people to remove heels in future, embarassing but I don't spend money on my home to have it accidently ruined.

I know that on a solid wood floor you can use a hot iron to draw the wood back up in a dent, don't know about laminate though.

You need a big box of slippers at the front door:lol:
Everyone takes their shoes off!
And helps themselves to the slippers

Good Idea about the Box of Slippers. Here is a Link to a Listing on eBay where they are selling a Box of 100 Guest Slippers.

Mum used to have a box of slippers at her front door and most people that visited would be able to find a pair that fitted if they needed them!

I missed getting my slippers for Christmas this year from her....
Usually we get at least 1 practical pressie but this year no pants, socks or slippers and I needed new slippers:lol:
