I have a carrot and an apple for breakfast. Maybe an orange with your lunch.......there's three out of five.....

i have to admit I struggle. But when I'm being good i do:
pure fruit juice with breakfast
Homemade veg soup for lunch... just whiz up some veg. yummy and healthy
salad or veg with dinner
bananas/other fruit for snacks.

That is how I manage it.. course when I'm being lazy I often don't do any of the above :(

Also to hide fruit and veg.. grate carrots etc into mince/bolognaise etc, no one ever notices but it bulks out the meat and makes it healthier!

we do the fruit juice for breakfast and I usually make a pan of veg soup at the weekend but by Tuesday they are complaining they don't want soup again! and as I don't come home at lunchtime they tend to make a toastie or wrap (mind you they do put a lettuce leaf in sometimes) Fruit is usually on the turn before they notice its there!

I love roast veg such as onions, peppers, courgettes, cherry toms etc and would have it everynight, but I'm they only who likes it!

LOL....nice try!

Honestly folks an apple and a carrot set you up for the day sooooo much better than refined-sugar coated flakes of burnt corn soaked in bovine lactose.

Why bother with the machine to extract the juice? That's what your kidneys are for. Eat the fruit! Then you get the benefit of the fibre too.

Snacks - bags of dried fruit such as, apricots, raisins, banana chips
veggies and dip such as baby corn, sliced red pepper, cauliflower

Smoothies- banana, blueberries, yogurt and a wee drop of honey
strawberries, rasberries, milk or yogurt

Dinners - Veggie pizza faces, tomatoes, green pepper, corn
Macaroni cheese with mixed veggies, carrot, brocoili, peas

There are lots and lots of ideas, you just need to get creative. I've found that involving the kids with cooking also gets them interested in what they are eating. You could try growing your own vegetables or having taster days where you all try a new fruit or vegetable.

Those wee Vie drinks you can get count towards your 5 a day and taste a lot nicer than you think they will (I thought something containing the likes of carrots and strawberries blended up together would taste pretty minging, but was plesantly suprised when I tried one). Its also a lot easier and quicker to drink something like that than it is to try and force yourself, kids, or whoever to eat something they really dont like.
