OK now tell us how you achieved that MPH......great picture.

Its 16 photos stacked on top of each other using software thats designed for doing star trail images.
Never used it for star trails as i prefer to take say a 30 minute shot rather than join 30 1 minute shots together, would only ever need to use it for star trails if there was a foreground light in the shot that would be overexposed after a minute or so.
So thought it might work ok for this sort of shot which it seems to.

I was going to ask the same ? Too tech for me i would have to be shown step by step or read step by step instructions.

Any MPH a very good shot.

Its easy shazzap, just load the images into the programme and press the build button and it builds the photo for you, nothing else to do other than dont forget to save the final image.

Great idea. Would it have looked better if there was a slight gap between the individual boats? I assume you just guess on when to take the individual exposures so this would be a fairly hit and miss effect to achieve.

My idea was to have them overlapping to start with and then have gaps between the last couple to make it look as if the boat was speeding up.Didn't quite make it and i couldn't be bothered going down the cut, feather and paste or drop onto master copy etc.
Had too much time on my hands to be bothered to do it in the first place:lol:
