Corncrake

I was just putting out some rubbish and I think I heard a corncrake somewhere east of the house. I waited another 10 mins but nothing. Is it possible or too early?

The corncrake watchers arrived at Iona about this time of year.

yeah its possible you could hear one now they will be sorting territories out amongst themselves so you could well hear them :D
