Not one of my finer photographic moments, but for what its worth, here's a view of the WHOLE of Dunnet Head on FIRE!!! Never seen anything like it.

Went down the end of our street to the catholic church to have a look and can clearly see the flames from there,a good job the wind isn't coming from the NE or Thurso would be a rather smokey place.

Looks like a scene out of Lord of the Rings.
The orcs allowed me to take these from Brough.

Great shots,
I took a few from the beach on Tuesday, but with only had a wide to mid zoom on the camera, went up to Dunnet Head yesterday for a few more shots.

Impressive shots people.

It`s an amazing site. On my way back home last night I went round the harbour in Castletown... it was a wonderful site but unfortunately I didn`t have the camera with me...

Might get a shot or two yet though with a bit of luck.

The photos are impressive, however we should not forget what this fire is doing to the wildlife there.

With more luck you won't get photo's and they will manage to put the fire out.

NL - love No.3.

Looks to me like a Hollywood film matt painting of the aftermath of a great battlefield.
