"Minister to cross Britain by rail

A spokesman said Lord Adonis would be happy to chat to travellers
Frustrated commuters will get direct access to Transport Minister Lord Adonis when he embarks upon a six-day rail voyage across Britain.

The minister will board the Paddington to Truro sleeper on Easter Monday - armed with his laptop and a £375 standard class Rail Rover ticket.
On Saturday he will reach York after a 2,200-mile trip taking him as far north as Inverness."

Perhaps he would have a bit more credibility, if he also took a trip on the Inverness to Thurso / Wick line.

Dear Lord Adonis,
I have noticed your coming trip by rail across Britain. I see that your farthest North is Inverness, this is a great pity as you will not be taking the Northern Line from Inverness to Wick. This journey is a terrible 4 hours and 26 minutes! - this journey by car is just 104 miles, giving an average of 23 mph if going by train. Please experience it.

Thank you
(Writetothem.com) well I tried!
