View Full Version : Favorite Dinosaur?

I was wondering what is everybody's favorite dinosaur? I've always liked the triceratops. A gentle plant-eater that can spear an uppity tyrannosaurus rex is so desired with its horns. I quite like the ankylosaurus, small compact and with a heck of a club to knock yer brains out. I'm not too keen on the flesheaters, they all look much of a muchness to me and boring. An allosaurus seems to sum them all up really, the ceratosaurus is a little different I guess.

I also like the dimetrodon, it uses its fanlike sail fin to absorb solar energy in order to give it a head start on the others.

 To be honest, Rheghead, I have never considered the matter in depth enough to choose a favourite! I shall have to give it some thought.

it was a rare breed but i would say it would be the mother in law if it was wound up the wrong way then every thing around it would be mince meat very deadly

Ive like the Brachiosaurus

as it is tall and ive always wanted to be tall. And i think if memory serves me right in Jurrasic park the wee kid said it would eat humans, which i suppose is a bonus.

The Velociraptor .. lean mean and ruthless in its hunting methods.

I actually live with three, my wife and my two daughters. Every time I focus on the one in front of me I get attacked from each side by the two I haven't noticed.

Or maybe Barney.

To what purpose will it absorb solar energy?
Does it have internal batteries that store the power?
To give it a head start in what......the 100 metre sprint?

Sorry Rheggers, you've lost me on this one.

Mine was the Stegasaurus - fascinated by all those back plates and the spikes on the tail.

I wonder which would have won a 100m race out of the Apatosaurus (aka Brontosaurus), the Brachiosaurus and the Diplodocus?:confused

Land dwelling dino would have to be the largest one - Spinosaurus.
The coolest flying dino though - Archaeopteryx. It would be pretty if it weren't so aggressive looking. ;)

Can I have 2 choices?
