Looking for some help if anyone has some info?

Helen Warse, born Stroma 28/1/1820 married William Simpson on the island 18/1/1839.

Helen's parents are given as Donald Wares and Helen Robeson in the parish birth records.

NOW.........

The problem I have is finding more about the parents. I can't find Helen Robeson anywhere, but have found a marriage between a Donald Warse and an Ellen Robertson in Feb 1813.

I've seen Robesons becoming Robertsons in the recordsand vice versa but Helen to Ellen? If anyone can help it's be much appreciated.

Hellen or Ellen Robeson or Robertson was born c 1791 to a John Robertson and Marian Duncan(b Orkney) they married 28 Feb 1776 Canisbay parish.

These are some of the children showing for a John ROBSON and Marion DUNCAN in Stroma:
HELEN ROBSON Birth: 24 OCT 1791/ Christening: 30 OCT 1791 Canisbay, Caithness, Scotland
WILLIAM ROBSON Birth: 24 JUN 1783/ Christening: 01 JUL 1783 Canisbay, Caithness, Scotland
JOHN ROBERTSON Birth: 19 FEB 1781/ Christening: 28 FEB 1781 Canisbay, Caithness, Scotland
GEORGE ROBERTSON Birth: 21 AUG 1776/ Christening: 03 SEP 1776 Canisbay, Caithness, Scotland
JAMES ROBERTSON Birth: 27 OCT 1778/ Christening: 04 NOV 1778 Canisbay, Caithness, NICOL ROBERTSON 1795 Canisbay (I was searching Nicol - one wife was Matilda Simpson)
Scotland
Also perhaps
Christian ROBESON b: Abt 1786 m David Banks
Bell ROBERTSON b: Abt 1789 m George Smith

Note the Robeson Robson Robertson name . I have in my tree similar problems with this name also with Wares and Warse surname.
My gx3 grandmother was Helen Robertson/Robson. I still have not found definite birth/parents but had to be pre 1785. Could be c 1773.
She married James More in Sarclet 1800.

So far your Robertson Wares above does not relate to directly to my lines but I am sure they will somewhere - but I also have Simpson in my family eg
George Simpson c1806 m Isobel Bruce
Barbara Simpson c 1818 m Donald Robertson 1807 - Freswick in Census
