Has anyone else been to see this? I went last night with a friend and thought it was great but friend didn't like it. Apart from the fact that it was freezing cold (we were warned) and the actors sometimes could not be heard over the music, it was an amazing experience. Shame the later performances last night and tonight were cancelled due to lack of interest but I think the publicity was a bit late. Am also puzzled that tomorrow night is being advertised as the "opening night" both on here and tv, although it's the last night here. It's free so it seems a shame that an event like that has attracted so little interest - you can even get a free dram before it starts! I'd go again if I could.

My mate plays in the Orchestra, he said that the planning and the organization of the event was very poor and left until the last minute...if they done things differently and on different dates (this weekend coinsides with a drama workshop elsewhere so all the drama students who would have went are at the workshop) the interest would have been far greater.

It's a great event and the start of more things like it. The thing I liked about the show is that it attracted people who had never been to see theatre in their lives. Also the SCDA One Act Festival was on last night and is on tonight at 7.30, some audience will be at that.

This is the Lyth Arts Centre website which has lots of info about "HOME" and the Scottish National Theatre.
And it is also advertised in the John O'Groat Journal and if you are on the Lyth Arts Centre mailing list, you get plenty of information sent to you.

There were posters in shops all over the place - A5 & A4 black posters with HOME across them. The venue was very cold, I was part of the show and I had 5 layers of clothes on for each performance. We didn't have a lot of notice but it was a brilliant opportunity to work with music and drama professionals. It was great crack and I hope that NTS come back to Caithness again.

Must have been amazing to be part of this. I had warm clothes but did worry about the performers as some of them didn't seem to be very well protected, apart from the spacemen! Congratulations - it deserved bigger audiences. Yes, I hope they come back.
