Boating on the river

Its nice to here that all the boats will be coming up to Wick for the Harbour fest. But I was remembering the "boaties" on the river where many an hour was passed by young and old going up and down the river. Would'nt it be great to have that back again...We never had lifejackets in those days and I can't remember hearing of any accidents although many of us came home soakin wet a few times...:Razz

They were going to bring back boats and store them in the boating shed, plus make improvements around the island, dont know what happened to their decision. We will soon have the marina in wick, that will be really good.
