Just been on the Barrow AFC website and theres a thread about peoples favourite pub and someones named The Central bar, Thurso, Caithness, 1985. Small world. Any Orgers frequent it then?

It is a good bar, don't get to it very often, but you get a good meal at a reasonable price as well.

I'd have to say either the Rod & Line (circa 1984) or The Weigh Inn (circa 1977-1988). And who could forget The Marine? That was when they didn't have measures; they just poured what they thought was the right amount into your gless. Heady days.
When did The Marine shut, late 80s, early 90s?
The Marine bar.......... in the days when men were men and women carried a half bottle in their handbag!
Bazeye I've been working there for a good year and a bit now so most likely! No doubt you are one of the more rowdy ones I've had to chuck out :lol:
