I see that the council is planning to build a waste incinerators for burning rubbish in caithness. I think it is a good idea because they will run out of places to land fill what is peoples view on this.

There was a waste incinerator near where we lived before, all the people who lived near complained of the smell and breathing prolems, where will it go if we get one here, who wants to live downwind of it.

The energy released will be used to heat homes!!!!! What utter rubbish, (no pun intended). We all know that that is the last thing that will happen. As is usual, there will be design problems so will be deemed not to be cost effective to supply the heating, or they won't be able to decide on which homes would be connected to the heat source.....

...and you can be sure it'll cost more than £70 million.

These things give off deadly fumes and create deadly ashes.

Probably more dangerous than nuclear waste ! (cause everyone knows nuclear is dangerous and supposedly takes proper precautions)

Why else would they choose caithness. The tryed to put one in peterhead too. The furthest east they could get on mainland to ensure prevailing winds took most of it over to poison our European neighbours - dont know what they do when wind is blowing the other way. Dont know if it ever went ahead though - due to big local uproar.

Im not a green but we really must reduce/reuse/recycle... and as for nappies yeaauuukkkk !
