if you go along the main street just passed the caberfeigh take a right turn up the road (car park & new toilets are around there) you will come to the fountain, you will see a railway bridge across the road - go under & up the hill & you can get to the mannie from there.

Nope, sorry Tugs, I don't know what you were trying to capture there. Totally uninspiring however if you were to try it in b&w then it may work, perhaps even just a shot of the rotten timbers in b&w could change the dynamics of the pic.

Just my tuppenceworth.

in the water is a mooring rope and the other stuff is cable that's refleting the light.

don't worry jox i just took it as a 'wierdo' and i just think it looks like two pics butted up together lol
glad you don't know what i was trying to capture because i sure as hell don't either lol

I thought it was visualy interesting, and quite subtle? Old vs new, before and after - all in one shot?

I think I like this one the best:

I think tugs has captured some lovely shades and highlights on the old wooden part of the pier,a lot of character in the old wood in total contrast to the concrete.

Stefan,i dont think your 3 conversions do anything to enhance that imho,in fact they seem to detract from it all together.

That concrete versus old rotten wood idea did not do anything for me.
Don't like the moon walk thing so much, but the second and third appeal to me.
All a matter of taste though isn't it...
