Robertson of loth, officer of revenue

I am looking for any information about my great, great grandmother
JANE ROBERTSON'S family. She died at Torroble, Lairg, Sutherland on 29.4.1862 and was married to my gr, greatgrandfather ALEXANDER SUTHERLAND. They are both buried at Lairg Cemetery. She
was christened at Loth and was the daughter of JOHN ROBERTSON, Officer of Revenue. :)

A fascinating book called 'Rogart the Story of a Sutherland Parish' was published a few years ago.
It was written by John MacDonald, and tells many stories of the area. We found many gems relating to our family !

I think John MacDonald was the local postman and he collected many of the stories from his neighbours, so you never know what could be in there.
