I would like to take this opportunity to warn or advise people planning to buy a new build, or just buying a house for that matter to take heed.
I have recently contacted a company that was to uphold the warranty to advise of a draught via the front door.
I have since been informed that the warranty was initially with the contractor and has not been transferred on.
We have the option to pay £50 administration fee and then have to pay to have the items inspected to make sure they are serviceable for warranty etc.
All costs to be met by us.
The long and short of it folks..... make sure the contractor or you arrange for the warranty to be transferred, or if buying privately transfer again.
